Children have the world at their fingertips (literally!!)
As early childhood educators, you know that fine motor skills are essential to living and learning! Whether it is self-care tasks such as eating independently, handling utensils, and using scissors or it is pre-writing skills such as small movements for colouring, scribbling, and drawing – they are all built on the foundation of fine motor skills.
Tune into this session with Montessori educator Stacey Band as she nudges you to think about how you can intentionally foster fine motor development in your setting. Focus on the developmental milestones, create opportunities that allow for exploration, and walk away with strategies and tips to overcome challenges.
